Midnight Blue- 99' Trans Am
If you drive in a lot of traffic I would go with the auto. The standard is faster stock to stock with a good driver.

i am looking at a 99 ws6 6 speed for 13900 with 64000 miles and a 2001 trans am automatic with 85000 miles, not a ws6 and asking 13900 also. what does it take for an auto car to run with the stick car? i have been looking at all the sites and it seems alot of the fast cars are 6 speed until a point and then switch to th400 or th350. i am going to drive the cars thursday.

i just got a 01 ws6 auto and runs 13.4 @105mph pure stock and the car still pulls hard
it could be just me but i think with a auto you save parts when racing...

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
yeah, whoever said a stick is faster....i dont' think so. Sticks are more fun, that's for damn sure, but the auto is just brainless. the biggest benefit to sticks is that they are WAY better gasmilage

auto if you want to drag race and have quicker jumps on people. stick if you just like driving it around town because sticks are more fun.

I haven't done anything except borla cat back on my car, before the new exhaust I was running 13.4 at 101mph, I'd like to know if it made a difference, but now they won't let me on the track without a roll bar. What do you guys think, any difference? About the stall mod, what kind, $ and will there be a difference in times?

Pewter Car #006- 2002 FireHawk Convertible
I planned on keeping this ride till I died.......bought an auto so just in case when I'm over +80 yrs and having problems walking do to having my knees replaced, I won't have to worry about pushing down a clutch!!!!
Working a clutch for a 1/2 hour in traffic jam is "NOT" my idea of fun........but on the other hand......have owned lots of manuals over the years and definetely you "are" the driver w/ a 6 speed! Good luck on your decision!
