I'de keep it and put the extra money you won't be using on monthly payments and put it into the Firebird. When you're done modding the Firebird then see about buying a G8 or whatever you want for a DD. Just my .02

Keep the Bird & buy the G8! The G8 is not worth selling the bird for, they are two totally different cars.

Depends on your needs
Well they are completely different cars. This is like comparing apples to potatoes here.
I believe it depends on your needs.
Do you mind if I ask, do you have a family/3 or more people to give rides to on an almost daily basis?
If so, maybe G8, sedans are more convenient for carrying multiple people.
If its just you every day on your daily commute, by yourself, keep the bird.
Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the bird get better gas mileage than the G8 with the heavier sedan zeta platform?
With gas prices the way they are you might want to consider that as well, especially for a daily driver.FAST 90/90, SLP Lid, Kooks JetHot Coated LT's, American Racing Y-Pipe+Magnaflow Cats, DHM Electric Cutout, Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, HP Tuners Software, 343 rwhp.
BMR Convertible Subframe Connectors, Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace, BMR Driveshaft Safety Loop.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
your talking about 2 differnt cars man, both have performance/sporty factors and will thrill the hell out of you. You should consider keeping the t/a until the G8's have come down in price

come back and ask this question if they get the gxp going. i heard if they do a gxp it will be a 6.2L 400hp. you might wanna double check on it but if they dont just keep the t/a and buy a g8 gt later for a much better price.

no family yet...but the thought of having a car that i will keep for a long time and if a family ever comes..i am covered..and still have a b/a car for the weekends/good weather..is hard to give up...modding my car crazy is out of the question as of right now...since it needs to hold its own through michigan winters..i was looking at the 04 grand prix gtp...but the interior is lacking and showing its age..and the 3800 engine is end of lifed and i dont feel like messing with a v6....i was also looking at a mc SS with the v8..that is a possibility..but i would like to stick with pontiac..since every car i have owned is Pontiac
