If you were given a third gen Camaro and $20,000...
If you were given a third gen Camaro and $20,000, what would you do? rules:
1) The money has to be spent directly modifying the car.
2) You do not have to daily drive the car, it can be a 'toy'.
3) Doesn't have to be street legal.

Find the rules for the class I would want my car to race in and build to accordingly. Then spend the rest of it maintaining/fixing it for as long as the cash allowed me to do this.
yah there's a bunch of mustangs in the video

that's it? just power train mods and leave it a sleeper?
muahaha, yes.
see rule 1
maybe a new rule should be "can't be a drag car" or "you have to implement either the smog 305 or the Iron duke 4cylinder in your build"Last edited by justinmc978; 12-07-2011 at 08:38 PM.

Yes, I would'nt change how it looks. I had an 89 Camaro RS and a 92 25th anni Z28..
I really liked the stock apearance of both cars tho the 92 was better handling than my 89.
Both cars handled better than my 01 Camaro did..
Of course I would also do all the supporting power mods as well.
That, and restore the interior too and go with the seats like I had in the 25th which had actual adjusting head rests.

the only rule i will change is it has to be an 89 gta. i actually want to buy one for S 'n G's
and since 89's are MAF they are alot easeir to tune
start with an LB9 5 speed. no autos for me. and a 400 small block. i've got a couple good blocks sitting around. fully forged rotating assembly.
i would retain the TPI. i just like the way they look even though they flow like shit. ported accel base, massively ported and siamesed slp runners and a big throttle body. this will make it flow.
prob some dart iron 215cc heads. 224-234 cam @ .550 lift. 9.5:1 compression. this engine should run like damn near stock but make 450 hp and 450+ ft\lbs of torque. that's all i want.
12 bolt rear with 3:42's, 295 mickeys on it.
and naturally a six speed.
retain all stock appearances. even the engine would look stock except for the cold air intake.
all black, grey interior and MAYBE a phoenix on the hood.
