Parking Brake Cable Routing
Before dropping my 10 bolt, I photographed everything so that I can attempt to duplicate the factory routing of the parking brake cables and wiring. Unfortunately, I came up one picture short as to the parking brake cables. At the very back of the driveshaft tunnel, the bare cables go through a bracket and then into the sheathing that runs to each side of the axle.
Are the cables crossed at this point? Does the left side bare cable enter its sheathing and then cross to the right wheel? It just seems that the cables "want" to be in this position and my photographs missed catching this detail by a couple of inches. Unless I overlooked something, the factory service manual shows the brackets, but does not depict the cable runs.

I'm trying to figure out if it would even matter....I don't think it would but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I would probably go whichever way they wanted to go....

I can see the cables in your pic... but I cannot tell if they are crossed or not.
I doubt it makes a difference as it starts as a single cable and then splits to two in the tunnel. Unfortunately, I am one of those people that will be bothered by the fact that it may not be right. I'll take a closer look with my light and see if I can discern any wear marks from the cable sheathes rubbing against one another.

I've never heard anything about which direction the "should" be. But I hear ya on wanting to make it look factory fresh.
Here's about the best pic I have which would show that...but obviously you really can't see where they split off from.

On a lift with all parts installed
I'm not sure if you can see the back of the Camaro in this pic. But this was from my calendar photo shoot a year ago, about the best shot I have in my photobucket of a rear shot.

I see you have the same PHB and relocation kit for it I just purchased (well I got the UMI kit). Just out of curiosity, how parallel is the PHB when the car is loaded? It looks like it's already parallel to the ground on the lift, which would be optimal, but how is it under load? Also, is your car lowered or at stock height? Thanks.
PS - That ass end looks very nice! Both of them

Now that I'm home, I found a pic that shows the panhard bar while under load. Not a great pic but you can see it's NOT parallel to the ground.
Thanks for the ass compliment(s) too.

The PHB is supposed to be parallel to the ground under load.
The relocation kit drops the PHB so you can gain clearance with a larger diameter exhaust where it crosses over the axle.
If the car is at stock height...the PHB with the relocation kit is supposed to be close to parallel to the ground loaded. If the car is lowered, it will be at an angle. There is another bracket JEGS sells for the driver side to get it back to being parallel again from what I understand.

I thought it was supposed to be parallel in order to minimize side-to-side movement with suspension travel. Thanks.

Yes...35th nailed the answer correctly. The PHB should be parallel with the ground. But on a street vehicle you aren't going to be pushing the geometry limits so it's not a show stopper. Also the relocation bracket was made to provide more exhaust clearance. I originally was going to run a set of custom made 3" true duals all the way back...but those just would not fit. I kept the relocation bracket on since my Borla would occasionally hit part of the subframe. I haven't come back to this situation since life has me busy...but I think a j-bar styled PHB would be the right fix for this situation. I'll have to look on Jeg's website to see if what they may have. We use j-bars on stock cars all the time.
