General Supercharger Information Needed Please!!!
Car: 98 t/a NOTHING IN IT.
Personal Knowledge Level: Moderate
This will be a long term project, I'm looking for advice on part combinations/nomenclature.
I've got a 98 t/a ws6 that was bone stock. I rebuilt the bottom end, put Trick Flow Heads/LS6 Intake/102mm TB larger cam. I had too many hands in my shop and ended up swapping rod caps. 900mi later, 3 spun rods, so I'm re-doing everything from the bottom up.
I have purchased a 04-ish LQ4 engine that has been cleaned/inspected/bored .028". I'm wanting to do a stroked supercharged engine. Something around the 1000hp range, a play toy, something that will be taken to the strip occasionally, but will be more for street, most def NOT a DD. Or a WW, maybe an every other 3rd WW lol.
I haven't picked out anything yet. Since this is a project that I fully expect to take a few years, price doesn't matter.
Here's what I need help with:
(Disclaimer: I'm fixing to butcher up a bunch of words on everything b/c I don't know what it's called, PLEASE correct me)
This kind of engine build is what I'm going after. However, I can't find a top load(?) supercharger that will bold up to a LQ4 engine b/c I don't what to search for. All I can find is rear-entry superchargers, and that's not what I want.
Can someone explain what is going on with the engine? Are there Carb and Fuel Inj types available, or is this build only carb? Can this style engine build be combined with alchy/meth/water/N2O injection?
As I get more information from you guys, I should be able to get a better direction of where I want the build to go.
Fire away with the questions, and thanks for the help!!!

By top mount, do you mean screw type, because there are several available, but may not fit under the hood. I looked into centrifugal chargers as the mounting is more flexible.

Another 1000HP thread. Lots of these over the years. Get an F1A Procharger.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Whipple makes screw type supercharges for LSX applications with carburetors. Check Whipple direct or give Texas Speed a call, they carry the kits.

Wonder where this build is. OP hasn't posted in over 1.5 years now.
