Stage 3 srt-4
raced one from a 30 roll the other day and we were dead even the whole way to about 110. He MIGHT have had a bumper on me but i dont think so. Those things are a hell of a lot faster than i thought.

Yea gotta have mods. Those things run mid-12s maybe better, so good race. Throw a turbo on yours tho and see who's fast .

Where is StoneSRT-4 at? He can tell you all about those things. From what I have heard, they are pretty damn fast.

Black- 2005 SRT-4
Stage 3 on the SRT-4's (with toys) is pushing about 355 claimed crank horsepower (by Mopar). Most Stage 3 SRT-4's are running mid to low 12's. With more support mods (fuel, boost, FMIC, cams, etc.) they're capable of running high 10's. The average is mid to high 11's, however.
Either way, sounds like it was a good race.

10's!!! gotdam
Too bad they didn't put a 425 HP Hemi in it with RWD, I would be highly tempted. That little SOB would prolly pick the wheels off the ground stock!

But then it wouldn't be a Neon. And it'd be much more expensive. The stock internals are good for 450whp reliably...and up to 500whp or more with GREAT tuning.
Two other things you may not know...there is at least one drag trim SRT-4 running 8's....and the SRT-4 has also been named the fastest production car (in it's class) managing 221mph. (http://dodge.off-road.com/dodge/arti....jsp?id=365982)
Just some interesting bit of trivia. It isn't the greatest car in the world....but for the price and the ability to make it faster, you can't beat the money you save.

Right....but his original comment was about a Hemi in a RWD SRT-4 so it could "sound like a bigblock". Then we were comparing jet engines to a turbo...then I went back to cams and the bigblock comment. Interweb confusion. Oh..and the SRT-4 engine is a 2.4 liter. If an STi (2.5L) can spool it, I'm sure we could too. It'd just be ass for low end...so you could do a sequential or use some nitrous to help spool it. Lots of options...lots of money.

Yank the balance shaft and get a billet oil pump and 500 fwhp would be reliable.

Yep just throw a clutchmasters stage 4 6 puck and a new TOB and the tranny would be fine.

06 PBM GTO(458WHP)SOLD!!- 06 TR GTO~476WHP 425TRQ
Yea stock stage 3 runs about mid 12s depending on driver. Should trap about 115. Pretty stout, but $3900 is a little too much. But then again i prolly spent about that much on motor now and wont trap but about that on race gas.
