Red / White- 1955 Chev
New member
Hi I'm new to the site and hoping to share my build as well as obtaining info about the LS wiring system. I'm swapping a 2008 LY6 and 4L80E into a 1955 chev 2dr htp. I have all of the engine, trans and wiring. I plan to modify the OEM harness but have a question about what to do with the BCM as it is inter connected with the ECM via the GMLAN Serial Data Bus.
For instance the trans shift lock control, torque converter clutch, brake switch etc. are connected to the BCM.
Can I simply ignore the BCM and connect the ECM and TCM as per LT1Swap info as well as the brake, accelerator pedal and OBD-II port.
Thanks in advance for any comments, advice
