Electric Blue Pearlcoat- 1995 Trans Am(LS1 Convert
Urgent suggestions needed
Guys, this has nothing to do with the TA, but the Impala SS clone I am working with. Its getting painted this weekend and for 2 months now I have been set on a two-tone black and slate grey combo. However I seen a pic of one and now I really dont like it. The big thing is picking a color that matches the wheels I have for it. Here is the car and wheels
I was thinking black, dark blue, or a red...I am so flustered and its only a few days to choose. I would ask an Impala forum but have of them are tryin to make donks and crazy retarded crap. I want a nice american muscle look. Please any thoughts are appreciated.

I've personally never been a fan of 2 tone paint jobs. Only a couple that I've seen worked for me. It's hard to beat a nice high gloss black car...except trying to keep it clean and swirl free. A couple of my favorite colors come on the GTO's. Impulse blue metallic and cyclone grey. Very sexy colors but neither would really work with your wheels I don't think.

Orion is right, black is hard to beat. Looks good on anything.
But picking colors is one of the hardest things to do. I like just about anything myself, even the oddball colors that aren't favored much just because I like to be different from the other cars.
Since you are cloning the SS,,,and they were only built in black, maroon, (and what was the other color) Shucks I know there were 3-4 differen't colors for those.
Anyway why not shoot for something other than that so it stands out from the rest of the SS Impy's???
I like your idea of a nice blue,,,just not sure the grey painted wheels would do it though. Polished or chrome would look good with a dark blue I think. Then again I'm not much of a painted wheel fan though unless you are running dog dishes (sorry it's the old coming out in me)

Electric Blue Pearlcoat- 1995 Trans Am(LS1 Convert
Yea that is the original color of my caprice, Its nice but does not compare to black...I do love the black...the thing is is the passenger side was banged up and he did the body work rather than replacing some things and although he is decent, I am scared black will show any and all blems, and its a pain in the ass to maintain. Thanks for the input fellas!

I definitely vote black. But if you need to hide body work, there are some really sharp looking silvers out there. Like this Mercedes:

It's okay I guess, definately different. Too Blingy for me. I'm more of a stockish kinda guy. I can't stand the big wheel thing either.

I agree, thats y I am not going with it. I am leaning towards a dark blue like this:

Minus the chrome gangster the wheels. They wheels I am putting on are on the first thread of this post.

Black looks good, but then again, everyone is black. I wonder how a deep maroon would look, like that used on some of the third gens?

Black Cherry or just Black. No two tone thing, my opinion. Glad you are getting some sensible wheels, too. What size are they? I love 5-spoke wheels, nothing better thinks I!

Okay fellas...after much research I found cars similar to what I want...4 cars for colors...Imagine with the wheels I posted. The one in black has almost identical wheels minus the rivets here they are:
Black Cherry
Green
Black
And lastly Blue:
