If you had to change the cam, what would you go with?
Here is my story,
New memeber here, purchased a completly stock 2004 CTS-V (LS6) about 8 months ago and have recently developed an unpleasant sound in the valvetrain. After a good bit of troubleshooting I decided it was time to pull the passenger head for some exploratory surgery. I found what I expected and that was a chewed up lifter as well as the cam lobe on cylinder 6... Sooooo, my question is since I have to replace the cam and lifters I would like some suggestions on a replacement cam. I wouldn't mind something a little more aggressive but at the same time I don't want to have the snowball effect.
Thanks in advance, Joe

Just find the biggest torque cam you can get your hands on.
Have it redline at your normal factory redline.
Run a roller grind and let it be.Be who you are and say what you feel 'cause people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.'

Well, IMO, you want an aggressive cam but you want minimal heavy lope. You'll get lope whatever you do, but you want it to be fit for the characteristics of the Cadillac. go with a custom gring cam. I would recommend you call Fran at Race Proven Motorsports and he will get you what you need.

Cam choice is really your preference. There are so many cams out there with all different lopes and sounds. Are you looking for something that shakes your caddy? You can find alot of sound and performance clips on youtube. Also i am guessing you are wanting a good streetable cam that isn't to hard on your springs.

Your not gonna find a nice cam to go with the stock springs. They need to be replaced as well.
