Dried bug guts on front bumper
What is the best way to remove dried up bug guts from the plastic front bumper? I know I should have cleaned it long time ago, but it has sit a about 2 months & I forgot about it until this past weekend. Let's just say the normal Zaino wash is not going to do the job this time.
White paint too.

wash it, then just use regular hand/dish soap and a rag, let the soapy residue sit on the affected areas for a while, then come back and try scrubbing it off... then wax the area in case wax was stripped by the soap..

I like to know this too.
Mine has been ate up from these damn love bugs we get here. I've used dryer sheets and clay bar and still have issues with them. Currently I soak it with Simple Green, then go over with the dryer sheets, soak again, then wash car. Use the clay bar to finish it and then wax it with 2-3 coats.
WD40 just sounds very bad.....
I got pits in the plastic from them. I'm not a fan of a nose bra but it's getting to the point I need to do something. When I go to get her repainted again I'm going to have to decide to save the plastic or just start with a new piece.
Mean while besides that they look like shit and are a little embarrassing what other damage does a bra do besides swirl marks on the paint? If I get one I'd only use it during bug season which usually last between the middle of May through June.

I would suggest a clear bra be painted onto the car over an actual bra if your heart is set on a bra.
A bra will ruin, yes ruin, your paint. Rocks and other debris get between the bra and body of the car (regardless of how well the fitment is) and while you're driving down the road the wind flaps the bra around rubbing all of that abrasive dust and other crap against your paint.
Not to mention that a bra will also discolor the paint over time, if left outside in the sun or it gets wet.

Just read in another thread about "removing burn out rubber" to NOT use WD-40 or maybe it was brake cleaner...can't remember.

Turtle wax makes a product called 'bug and tar remover' and I'm not being a smart ass... I was shocked as to how well it worked... I had a ton of bugs on the front of the car, and tar up the doors... soak down your problem areas, wait 5 mins, it'll damn near hose off all the debris... promise

2nd the turlte wax it works great on tar.
For the insect graveyard on the nose of my car I use window glass cleaner. The brand name is stoner. autozone and advance both sell it. black can with a yellow lid. It even cleans the glass well too.

A wet drier sheet will do a fantastic job on them.
