04 Cobra 'vert - M6 mysti- 02 WS6 coupe - A4 red
I don't often like white rims, but from what I can see in that picture, I think that car looks pretty sweet. Probably not what you want to hear right now...
I can sympathize. I had a 98 TA for 8 years and regretted selling it within hours. The good news is, now you'll be able to get a new car and start the love affair all over...

SOM- 2002 SS
No 5.0. Things aren't working out with some forum members Cars for sale and I may just pick up a c5 vert or frc since they're going for as much.

SOM- 2002 SS
Well a c5 may be out of the picture. With a 4 month old I figured when the wife is back to work ideally do need something for the baby if i ever have to help with pickup / dropoff etc. That pretty much ruled the vette out. I don't like buying anything that I may not keep for a long time.
That left me with 4 choices I presented to the wife yesterday....
1. A higher mileage ss similar to my z. I made out pretty good but I don't feel I ripped off the new owner as I had 4 people make me close offers in the first 2 days for sale.
This would be relatively inexpensive, and I have tons of parts I didn't install ready and waiting.
2. A cleaner lower mileage 01-02 ss.
This would stretch my budget a little as most I am finding have bolton mods and lots of people are trying to get something back for the mods.
This is my preference as the wife says shed be happy if I didn't tinker as much on the next one as I did on my old Z. Buying with some bolt ons saves me some time and effort but the biggest problem is finding the bolt ons i like and wether they all installed right. I took a hit on all the time and money I put into my z and I was happy to take the hit to see the car gone sooner and the new owner happy.
3. Buy a Toyota yaris. My wife has had hers since new and the little car kicks butt. Reliable and great on gas. I just won't be smiling after a 10 hour shift at work when I walk out at 4 am to see an econobox waiting for me lol.
I plan to slam it with coil overs put some nice 18s and a giant 10" tach behind th steering wheel for jokes since the speedo is in the middle lol. Financially it's a good choice. A 2007 with <40k and I would have cash left over to go to amsterdam.... Lol. On the Bright side I would be focused on getting my c4 motor back in the car and on the road.
Don't laugh too hard haha.
Last option would be to order the new fiesta but that's a similar to above and Id have payments On a little pos and I hate that.
I'm close to making some offers but I just don't want to stretch myself on price. I have plans on how I want my ss to look so I'll be spending a bit to do that. I don't mind the suspension mods etc and engine mods as long as they were done right and don't have < 1k miles on them. I mean seriously, if you did heads and a cam and were happy with it you wouldn't be selling your car after a weeks worth of driving...
The market is tough. There's some really nice modified ss' out there. Some guys are asking a reasonable amount but still too high IMO. Only reason is there are a few super super low mile ss' out there that <5k miles and are brand new and they're asking just a few thousand more. So it's just trying to find the balance in betwen where both parties are happy. That was long sorry !
Lastly there's only ONE arctic white ss out there but the asking price is just out of my range. Even worse it would be a shame and I would feel guilty taking a 5k mile car and driving it through a Canadian winter.

Well I'm confused. Why sell the modded, great looking 2000 to go buy an 01 or 02 SS?

Get a beater and fix the vette you have. At the very least you still have a sports car unlike some Dad's who get rid of the fun cars all together for a minivan. Makes you appreciate the one you have that much more

SOM- 2002 SS
I had an 01 that had the ls6 intake AND had an LS6 block from the factory too it was nice but I always wanted an ss. I didnt want to add a hood and spoiler because I'm huge on original paint. I will never paint a car i would rather sell it and buy what color I want.
the wife understands that this will be a daily driver and that she will NEVER ask me to sell it. I will buy a beater AND keep my ss and corvette. An SS just has bigger sway bars and better bushings etc and looks sexier and I was able to sell for a decent price in canada and for that same price pick up an ss with no rust and less than a 1/3rd mileage for close to the same. it was a no brainer. I have found a few cars ad will post up the results soon enough
