Water on Oil Cap
Hey guys I am a New owner of a 2002 Trans am CE. it is a T top 6 speed. Ill make this short. I remember someone telling me to check under the Oil cap to see how it looked. Well i checked it and the cap had water in it. It looks like little water beads as how your car looks in the morning after leaving it out in the cold over night. I wipped it out and drove the car as usual and checked it again the next day. Sure enough it was there again. What does this mean? all i know is that it should not be there. I did buy the warranty so i hope i am covered. Thanks.

Condensation?
Possibilities abound. Could it be simple condensation or is it too much water for that? Was the car pressure washed where you bought it from? Could be left over from the cap itself if you didn't get all of it the first day. See if it clears up, and with a decent warranty, you should be OK in any event. There shouldn't be major problems unless there are a lot of miles on it. You didn't say. Take care!

Its just condensation, make sure to change your oil every 3 months no matter what and I wouldn't worry about it

pull your oil dipstick, does it look brown/black or milky after some driving? most likely, it's condesation from the water in the oil. short driving and low coolant temps, do not allow the oil to heat up enough to boil out he water that gets built up from sitting overnight.
