Need a measurement, please.
I am convinced that my driver seat does not travel all the way back on its tracks. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a tall person, but in order to be comfortable I have the seat as far back as it will go. Just asking for some members to run their seats all the way back, hook a tape measure over the top of the brake pedal pad, and then eyeball the front edge of the seat bottom cushion. I came up with 21-1/2" on our car.

My seat is always all the way back. I came up with 23.5" from the top of the brake pedal to front edge of the seat bottom cushion like you asked.

Jeff, have you measured the passenger side and compared? Maybe find a common point on the door to measure from since you won't have the pedals there to gauge off of.

I just can't believe that is as far back as it goes, but Keith's measurement matches mine. Looks like Camaros ended up with a bit more travel for some reason. I'll probably yank it out over the winter and see what it looks like.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
I got 23, TA seats have a bit more cushion though so that may be what makes the difference.

I did know that, but assumed the seat went back the same amount as the driver side. This is just an assumption though.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

You made me think about it, Jon. I went out in the garage and ran them both back as far as they would go. Looking through the passenger door, the front edges of the seat bottoms appears to be in line. How does anyone taller than 5'8" drive these things?

I'm 6'2 with long legs and I'm pretty comfortable in the SS. I could see a few inches less room being an issue though.

I'll check mine when I get home. But, you drove mine. Did you feel the same in my car?

Have you checked the angle of the seat, it effects how far you move back. I have to raise mine up to get a position I like but when I need to get out of the car I have to bottom out the seat as well as move it all the way back because even with the wheel tilted all the way up I manage to hit my knees and I'm 5'8".
Most guys I've seen that are >5'10" usually tilt the seat back to make head room.

Walt -- I can't remember if I moved the seat or not. I know I checked the clutch to ensure that I could completely disengage it before driving. I know I didn't change the angle of the seatback.
Scott -- Laying the seat back down would be the only thing a "larger person" could do. Just seemed odd to me that I have mine all the way back in the tracks. In most cars, I wouldn't even be able to touch the pedals if I did that.
