New Front Mount Turbo kit - Nelson Performance -built by Trick Performance
Front Mount Turbo System
Here is a new turbo kit from Trick Performance. Currently, Nelson Performance is the only distributor for this kit.
As you can see, the kit is built completely from stainless steel and includes all the turbo parts needed to get running.
Parts:
T62 garret turbo
all hot parts
all inductions parts
boost smart blow off valve
wastegate
air filter
everything shown in the pictures
This kit has a lot of potential! An intercooler kit will be available very soon.
As you can see this setup doesn't have an intercooler, however, after measuring intake temps, it's lower than most non-intercooled supercharger kits.
The base kit is setup for 6psi.
Boost will come in as low as 2400rpms.
The downpipe ends about where a long tube header would, then it's up to the customer to finish it out. A small section of exhaust is all that is needed to connect to your stock or after market catback.
Spark plugs are still accessible.
Flex/mesh tubing prevent cracking
Base kit comes with a 3" downpipe, upgradeable in the future
Driver side exhaust manifold remains and the passenger side is replaced with a header.
The air filter actually sits below the stock air filter plate.
Air filter location: Air filter location The air filter has 4" intake tubing.
Here's a pic of the header and downpipe installed, the inner fender was cut away for viewing:

This kit can be upgraded to a twin turbo system in the future!
The base kit will start at about $4050.
Let me know what you think guys!!!

Well, the price is right but...how is that beast supposed to fit under a hood that you can see the road over?

Well then I would say you have yourself a seller. Obviously clean up the pipes some, they need to be shiny but nice set up man.

turbo kit
my only question is where are the oil lines for the turbo run... hopefully not through the oil cap like other kits i've seen. there seems to be a lot of 90 degree welds in the piping configuration... are there plans to smooth this all out to get the most from it? it definitely looks like a fun addition to any silverado... hope to have one soon for mine.

The turbo is fed from above the oil filter, the return is gravity fed to the oil pan.
The 90's are a smooth 90deg and I kept it routed as smooht as possible.
I doubt we'll see any pressure drop through the pipes, maybe the intercooler if any.
We'll keep you updated,
allen
