Silver- 2001 trans am
Black Smoke
After i innstalled the Pacesetter LT headers and y-pipe also pacesetter and magnafow cat back . black smooke starting coming out from the exhaust alot of smookes .. what is the problem and how to solve it ?

Black- 2002 Camaro SS M6
well, some exhaust systems come with a light coating of oil inside the pipes and mufflers. this will generally burn out within a week and everything should be back to normal.
if not, then you may be burning oil.
burning oil is the only reason i can think of for black smoke... anyone else?

its only when i rev it above 3000RPM i havnt tunnd it yet so is it because the O2 readings

black- 1999 T/A
an extremely rich a/f will blow black smoke. if its oil you should be able to tell by the smell.

usaully fuel is black and oil is blue
but smell will let you know
