    shiftlight install..helllpp!

    hi guys i bought a raptor shiftlight...there is a red, black, and green wire....it says on the instructions to hook up the black wire to a grounded spot(obviously), red to a switched and fused 12 volt source, and the green to the tach output lead....does anyone know where these wires i have to hookup to are???...where should i ground it, whats power source and wheres the green wire!,lol thanx a lot

    There is a - signal wire on the coil wires.that the green must be hooked to. Without looking at an actuall wire diagrahm I couldn't tell you which one. Other than it's the same one I tap into when installing an alarm with remote start feature. Any metal or even the ground for the head unit will work....... Same for the power wire for that matter cause the deck should only turn on with the key.
