its like when dominic torretto turns to brian spilner, who is lined up with a ferrari, and says "smoke em".
its like when brian spilner pulls up with a burned supra on the back of a tow truck and says to dominic toretto, "i owe you a ten second car".
its like when brian spilner is in the shop he works for and tells his boss, "my car topped out at 140 mph. i need nos".
and his boss says, "no, amateurs dont use nitrous."
and brian spilner says "i need 2 of the big tanks. i need it by tonight."
its like after the first race of the movie, when dominic toretto takes the pink slip for brian spilners car and says "youre lucky you didnt blow the welds on the intake manifold."
its like when the guy who drives the maxima parks it and gets out, upset, and screams to the little mechanic guy, "man i told you, im unloading in 4th." and the little mechanic guys says "yep, we'll tuned down the nitrous, you'll run 9s."
yeah, its pretty much like watching the fast and the furious......

Mystic Teal- 99 Trans Am & 01 CBR 929
wow alot of help in this thread huh?
I only use it at the track for the most part but from time to time ill open up the bottle to play with someone on the street, if i really feel I need to.
I get about 5-6 good 1/4 passes on a bottle before I start to run low on pressure and that is jetted for a 150 shot.
Just imagine driving at full throttle already and then flipping a little switch and getting pushed back in yoru seat even further. an instant 150 horsepower jump feels pretty good, no real explanation though.

depending on the shot, it's just extra power and torque... so the car will accelerate faster... don't kid yourself... it won't propel you like it makes you seem on tv.
If you have a stock car w/ 300-350rwhp and you get 100 shot, you'll be around 450rwhp... been in a car w/ 450 rwhp... that's how it'll feel like.
the only thing that is more noticeable is when the nitrous engages... the lower the rpm, the higher the torque spike when it engages, the more you feel the initial urge.... the thing is that a 100 shot is 100rwhp at lower and higher rpm... hence the bigger spike @ lower rpm.
if you ever driven a turbo car, when the turbo engages, you feel the car pulling harder... same thing w/ nitrous.
Force induction (turbo/sc) and nitrous work on the same principle... add air + fuel, get more power.
Turbo gets the air from the exhaust gas spooled turbine/compressor.
S/C gets the air from ambiant/intercooled air using the serpentine belt to spool the turbine/compressor.
Nitrous just adds the "air" from an external container... the nitrous has more volumetric oxygen than air which allows for more power for the same amount of "air", given enough fuel.
Anyways... that should give you an idea.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

haha i knew it wasnt like the movie i was kidding about that.
eugenio u just gave me the best explanation i could imagine about that. i really appreciate it. i think nitrous would be alot of fun, cuz havin the power ALL the time, u would get used to it and just always want more.
pressin a button for extra power just seems like itd be alot of fun lol
also, how much do refills cost?
