Pacesetter Headers cracking??
So I've been playing with the idea of getting headers for my TA and the general opinion is that SLP headers are expensive crap, Kooks are nice but expensive, and Pacesetters are cheap which is nice. But some of the people I've talked to say that Pacesetters will crack and/or discolor even on the ceramic coated ones. Basically I want to know if 1. will they rub on my lowered TA and 2. do they crack if so wouldnt it be smarter/cheaper in the long run to just by Kooks instead of Pacesetters?? Thanks in advance for the input. Sorry if this is a re-post but I couldn't find one.

Black- 2002 Pontiac Trans AM WS6
I have had painted Pacesetters on my car for the past 2 years and they have been fine. I am replacing them with the ceramic coated ones though since I got a dent in one of the primaries. Gravel roads and a big rock not a good idea.
My car is lowered my headers are never an issue just my crappy y-pipe. I want to know what people are doing crack headers. I think most ceramic coatings "discolor" a little from the heat but thats all they do nothing more.
I like the Pacesetter headers the but there y-pipe is crap.

I think what they are talking about is that the coating cracks and peals off. I haven't seen anyone have just a cracked weld unless they are bouncing off the collectors while going down the road. If you are smacking the collectors off the road any header will crack over time.
A lot of thses lowing springs suck because they don't increase the spring rate enough for the now limited suspention travel.
LPP's are stainless and I have never seen a header tuck as close to the car as these do. I would smack trans crossmember before the headers.
