5 Days.........
Its been 5 days so far and I'm doing good and going strong believe it or not. Haven't been close to a slip or anything which is surprising to myself. This will be the 10th or so time I have tried this which is kinda sad but hey, better late then never I know many have probably figured out what I am talking about by now, but a little suspense never hurt anyone So if you haven't figured it out, I'll tell you............I am quiting smoking I smoked for 9 years about a average of a pack a day and now hopefully nothing ever again

I'm doing it cold turkey if anyone wants to know. I am very surprised how easy it has been so far but I know there will be a tough rough patch sooner or later. Only time will tell

Awesome!! Congrats!! Its all psychological now, cuz your body doesnt physically need it anymore; after 3 days you start to make your own and your nicotine receptors arent blocked or inhibited anymore I am very proud

Now if I could only do the same with drinking. I can go for some time and then boom just get the urge. Wife said if I do it again though she is gone. Guess I better be good.

You know what may help, add up how much it cost you per month/year.

Good luck! Now if only I could do the same without dismembering anyone I'll be trying to quit too..

Welcome to the new world of breathing, stamina, flavor, longer life and saved money! People say they gain weight when they quit and use it as an excuse to keep smoking.... wanna know why they gain weight? All those taste buds that have been burned off grow back after a few days and food magically tastes better! Try and control yourself lol! You've got a large support group right here and I'm sure more than a few have gone through quitting themselves. don't be shy and let them help you through any "rough spots" Best of luck!

There will be. But, hang in there. It's so worth it!! I smoked for 28 years and over a pack a day. I quit on 1/2/07 and haven't had not one cigarette since. The difference is amazing.
It's tough for sure. But, you can do it. If I can, anyone can. Good luck to you
I quit drinking when I quit smoking. I had too. If I had a drink in one hand, it was only natural for me to have a smoke in the other Now, I never want a drink either. I only drink on special occasions, parties etc...

The 10 times before that I tried to quit, that is where I failed. As soon as I had a few drinks in me, I wanted a cig. Wed night I made it 8 drinks without one and even in a bar First time EVER!!! I am using that as motivation, but I am going to cut back my drinking until I am at least a month in.
Oh....and day 6 now
