94 Z28 Vs. 00 bullitt mustang
I was in the Z with a buddy of mine, he has intake ported TB and a cam, with flowmaster 40 series exhaust, and we had been out terrorizing the ricer hang out, when we were headed home about 11 pm and we stopped at a redlight on bangerter hwy. and bullit GT pulled up and threw us some revs and my buddy revved back and when the light turned green I was impressed with the stang he held right with us the whole way,he never gave an inch, anyway very close race. does anyone know the specs on a Bullitt GT?

do you know about what their 1/4 time and m.p.h. are? I could have sworn he said 2000, but with both exhausts being mildly loud at the time of them talking with their windows down still driving down the road, he could have said 2001, but anyway thanks

srry have nvr seen one run! but a good guess would be high 13's-low 14's, they were rated a little higher than the GT of the same year

same motor as the gt. diff. intake and muffler, suspension, and a few other things. power wise though it is pretty much a gt.

Bullitts also have a different computer flash, throttle body and underdrive pulley than normal GTs, they were underrated at 265 HP, probably have closer to 275-280 gross.

but he must have had more done, because any stock mustang (non cobra/saleen) would not even touch a LT1 with a CAM

yeah he may have had other mods, but we didn't pull over on the side of a freeway and discuss it, it was like 11:00pm as well, I just wasn't to familiar with the Bullit GT and was wondering about their performance, and his LT-1 with a cam and all of the above mods (first post) will not hang with my G.T.O. with just a programmer and slp loudmouth, I get him from a roll (bad) and demolish him on the highway, I know LT-1s can be very fast but his I'd say is a low 14 second car, maybe very high 13s.

well I guess I should have specified, we're at 6500ft. above sea level, which at sea level I'd bet he's running low 13s, and I'm not sure whether the mustang was stock, according to everyone here a cammed LT-1 should have killed a stock Bullit GT so my guess is he wasn't stock, thanks
