    What is this connector for?

I was vacuuming the other day and noticed this connecter underneath my dash on the driver's side. There's nothing hanging around it that isn't plugged in, although I didn't reach up and feel for a stray plug. Does anyone know what this is?

    Thanks in advance!

It's cool, no harm done to this thick skin. I've never had to hook a car up to a computer, but I have done the old "turn the key until the code displays".
