No IGNITION! HELP!
I don't have any ignition on my 02 Z28. I checked all my grounds but nothing loose. I install a Canton oil pan and when I went to fire it up, it ran for 20 or 30 seconds then just died and won't start. Have fuel pressure but no spark, starter keeps turning.

Do you have any oil pressure? There is a safety sometimes on these vehicles-not sure on the f-bodies or not-which will prevent the engine from staying running if no oil pressure.Should pump up some pressure at cranking speed.I was watching a American Hot Rod show where the oil pump pickup was too close to the bottom of the pan and wouldn't get any oil pressure. This was a LS1 motor in the Alumatub incidently.

When the car was running the stock gauges read 40PSI for the oil. Is this to low for an LS1, I never really paid attention to where it's suppose to stay at, I think it's something high like 50 or 60 isn't it?
