Mileage
Curious to see how many years miles everyone has on there LT1s and if there are any problems with them?
I am looking at a stock 96 Z28 M6 with 138,000 miles everything seems straight and its a strong good motor and transmission. Looking to see what problems can come along.

Our 97 just rolled 100,000. My wife drives it everyday and it runs perfect. Put a clutch in early this year, and new tires, first set of back brakes last month. Thats about it. Can't complain, it's been a great car, still gets 21 mpg around town and 26 on the highway, doesn't use oil or leak anything, so I'm not touching it.
If you take care of them and they have had regular routine maintainance there is nothing more to worry about over any other type of car. Goodluck with the purchase.

i got 138k on my 93 M6. Runs great. Minor electrical gremlins, but I have them isolated and just need the time to fix the wiring which was chewed up by a mouse. Other then that, no oil usage, original clutch, and I still get great gas mileage.
Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Oh yea I agree, the hood on the LT1 looks so much better then the LS1. I like the way I seen some of the SSs have the intake come up to top of the motor where the filter is right behind the hole. I think they look pretty good that way

Got a 94 Z with 101K on it. Minor oil consumption, not real noticeable though. Don't have to top it off between oil changes. Actually, its not motor consumption, just a small leak. We all know how gaskets get when they are old. Other than that, nothing much to complain about, except the damn Passkey crap.

Cayenne Red, Pewter- '97 Z28 1LE #53, '02 WS6
1997 1LE, purchased in 12/96, currently 67k. Virtually no problems, except for a security light issue, a driver side window switch that acts kind of funny every now and then, and ruined 02 sensor (due to a broken dipstick tube (oops) ).
Other issues like a blown 10-bolt, chipped dog teeth on old stock T-56, two clutches, driveshaft yoke, etc. have been from a mixture of nitrous, slicks, and the drag strip.97 Z28 1LE #53 11.08/122.84 N/A, 9.82/131.06 150-shot

I had 136,000 miles on my LT1. Damn strong motor! GM perfected that motor for a long time! I had minor issues that I would consider nothing!

Before I sold my 94 Z this summer. I was on the second opti and alternator. Other than that tip top. 79,000 miles.

My 95 has about 142K and still runs strong! I agree with those on here GM did great with their LT1's. Only minor shit has come up with mine like right now dealing with my damn Torque Arm mount that came off and is now causing an annoying thud whenever I downshift or between 1st gear when I stop and go.
I had a friend that drove his 93 Z to over 210K till experiencing problems!
By the way, If anybody needs a Center Console from a 95 T/A M6, pm me.

94 formula with 145k... ran strong up until yesterday when the fuel pump went out lol... so she got trailered home about 2 hours away and is gettin fixed...
i wouldnt be too scared about the mileage as long as you drive the car and dont feel anything wrong with it...
and ya the cupholder in the middle is more of a cell phone area and maybe a bottle of pop... but surely no cans... had bad experiences already with that lol

That is why I converted to a Console out of a 02 T/A, A pop can fits in the middle one snug and does not move at all! If I'm performance driving or don't want my drink in the way of shifting, I just move it over to the holder on the side! Got to love it!
