Ls7 transmission on LS1
What would it take to convert an 02 Z28 auto with 80k on it to a 6speed using an LS7 Corvette donor car.

You'll have a much cheaper and easier time doing a 4L80e swap then the 6L80e. The 6L80E requires a 58x ecm, wire harness to work. Your LS1 is a 24x, I know you can go from a 58x to 24x but not the other way around with a controller box.
You would need to change out the reluctor wheel, cam & crank sensors and ecm over to 58x, plus tuning.
That is just the top of my head.

Hmm buddy of mine was bidding on a salvage vette with 25k on it the was 6 speed and he just wanted the motor for a Lexus so I wanted to see what it would take to convert my auto to a manual using that car but seems like way more than I want to do

Auto to manual?
I'm sorry I thought you meant the 6l80e, not the TR6060. That's a whole different scenario.
1st the TR6060 in a vette is totally different in design then what is in the Camaro. The Vette transmissions are actually in the rear of the car and are practically part of the rear.
If you get a TR6060 from a 5th Gen Camaro this is what you'll need.
Shifter, cut a hole for shifter, Bell housing if not included (I recommend Quick Time), clutch master cylinder, salve cylinder, hydrualic clutch hose, new drive shaft, yoke, pedals from a 4th Gen, wiring harness or adapters for a few sensors like the speed and reverse lockout and tuning.
The tuning will be required so they can change the tables from auto to manual and adjust a few other tables like idle.
There may be some other items require to make it work, like the tail section of the transmission converted over to f body style.
