curious as too who would win
i got this buddy at work whom is helping me install the heads and cam, his brother has a 2008 corvette with an auto all stock, he said that he is gonna smoke my ass, my car is an m6 vert with alot of bolt-ons heads and cam and it has almost new 285 series bfg's im thinking that i should walk him easily what do you guys think

but seriously it will probably be close depending on how tough your setup ends up being
but with h/c i would favor you as long as you can get that beast outta the whole

I think it would be really close. Depends if you put a monster cam in and awesome heads on though.

yea traction was manageable to say the least prior to the heads and cam, now that you mention it that vette should squat and blast of like a bat from hell............the heads are prc's 5.3 cam is 232/234 595 598 lift

a 2008 vette will launch with better traction because the car is built with that power in mind. your car was not. Plus the vette is lighter.
what suspension mods do you have?
As stated above if you want to win, get ET Streets, but kiss you 10 bolt goodbye.
Otherwise your launching at from idle or spinning the tires forever. Also stock 3.42 gears suck.
i would put my money on the vette from a dig, from a roll, hard to say could go either way!

out of the whole, chances are the vette will walk you .
while your car will have over 400 rwhp, the vette wont be all to far behind with rwhp and the rwhp advantage you have will be negated by the fact the vette weighs less.2000 nhra edition formula

I'm gonna say you'd win and here's why.
Most of the vettes I ever see at the track run way slower than what they should. The reason is either a crappy driver or a driver that doesn't want to beat on the car to much. I'm gonna guess this guy paid a damn good penny for his vette so he's not going to be beating on it as hard as you will yours. End result is you should beat him.
disclaimer:
I'm not implying that all vette drivers are shitty drivers......I'm simply stating that what I see at the track and on the street leads me to believe that a lot of vette drivers don't get as much out of the car as they should for whatever reason.

The vette should solidly run in the 11's if he can hook it up. What do you run?
