performance 10 bolt?
i was looking on texas speed and they have a performance 10 bolt on there for $550. i was wondering if this would do the job in place of stock 10 bolt. i know its not a 9" or 12 bolt but it costs a hell of alot cheaper and i dont have the money to buy the 9 or 12 after all the money i put in the car recently. What is ur guys opinion on this?

Thats not a whole rear end for $550, thats just a replacement posi unit. you would have to use your factory 10 bolt, gears, axles and all.

dont waste the money on the 10 bolt. just save your pennies for a 12 bolt or 9"

That is alot of pennies my friend. $2500 is alot of dough especially for a 19 year old full time college student. anybody know where the cheapest place to get one?

axles and some synthetic is only thing worth doin to a 10 bolt. don't waste your time buildin one extensively it will just be a waste of time and money in the long run. i've been surprised many times by the abuse i've seen shafted 10 bolts take.

Yikes!!!! It sounds to me like maybe you should hold off on modding this car until you are in a better financial situation. Because the mods you are installing soon are going to break things.
Actually the money you spent on intake, heads, cam, nitrous, headers, would have easily paid for a drop in 12 bolt or 9 inch.
I personally would have started at the rearend and work forward from there. I wouldn't bother spending much money on the 10 bolt.
Sounds like you are already on your way though, just hope for the best.

yea 10 bolt is toast once those mods hit....1 think that side2000 forgot to mention is the C-clip elominators that help eliminate a huge weakness in the 10 bolts and 12 bolts too i believe...but yea scrap the nitrous and cam etc and go 9" you will love the ability to do donuts and high lunches without breaking a sweat

I would hope you at least at 400 RWHP with heads, cam, intake,LT's, and nitrous!
You are so going to either A: break the 10 bolt very very soon ... or B: keep some bald ass shitty tires on there and never, ever hook to harness that power.... and probably srtill break the 10 bolt.
Modding a car to go fast is expensive. One thing you buy... ALWAYS leads to another thing you HAVE to buy. Just how this expensive hobby is. No way around it.
College kid? Sounds like you need to sacrifice your dorm room/apartment/house and throw some parties and star collecting beer cans. Because your gonna need a 12 bolt/9" pretty soon. Dont waste your money on doing anything with the 10 bolt.

performance 10 bolt is an oxymoron. 9" for an m6 toy. spend your money wisely and only one time. get it done right the first time and you dont have to worry about it again.

I do believe performance and just plain being able to operate are two different things.. a 2 inch penis can operate.. but can if perform?
