Newer Style Air Mass Meter with a 2004 GTO ECU ?

Is it Possible ? I am using a 2004 LS1/LS6 and ECU in a swap. I will be building the Cold Air Intake. Can I use the newer plug into the tube or must I use the round style in the tube. Tuning I am sure is the issue. Worth it or go with the old style ? Not a performance issue. Just simplicity. Thanks for your help.

Hi you can use the LS3/7 maf but you have to change the IAT settings in your tune. Under the Tab Airflow>Intake Air Temperature>Characteristics>IAT Sensor Cal. I used a spreadsheet to modify mine but i don't no how to upload it so i pasted the numbers for you that i use.
