Wait for smittro to see the question, he can likely give you an estimate for a v6 with some mods...

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
Check his profile guys it's a Base Firebird.
My guess is approx 240-245 at the flywheel.
RWHP maybe closer to 210 but I don't really have a clue as I'm not a 3800 aficionadoCraig

241 bhp/227 bhp I wonder if you can do the "top swap" (gtp supercharger) and put those numbers up another 30 or 40 horses? I like the v6 cars, as long as people don't rice them out with over the top tacked on scoops and stickers and ultra high spoilers lol. It represents us ls1 guys to a lot of people out there who don't know the difference between the v8s and v6s.

L67-Top swap is/would be doable with some fab work.. Minimum right now you're most likely between 210-250 being the best max number but not likely what you're making. If you want power make it breath and feed it.. If on a budget, I'd start with heads. Frankly they suck.. Port the exhaust and polish the intake.. L67 cam and springs will add power without the blower.. They hold the intake valve open slightly longer than the stock l36 cam, and the heavier l67 valve springs will increase it's rev capability.. Headers, TUNE, and you should easily see a solid 250 crank N/A.. maybe 220-240 with a stage three chip and supporting mods.. A tunnel ram upper would raise the top end too.. The one we already have just is'nt schemetrical(sp) enough to be fully effective.. imho
Then there's always the after market if you want to really get it movin'..Last edited by Smittro; 12-01-2010 at 02:39 PM.

Basicly what I'm saying is the extra 40-50 crank hp can be had without the eton90.. Doing the top swap is a 40hp bolt on with plenty of work ahead.. I researched this at lengh as I had originally thought about doing the eton90 too.. Even with a 3.4 pulley your not going to see great gains over what can be achieved without the 90.. If you want FI I'd recommend at this point in time to look into setups other than a factory eton.. imho..

I was thinkin around 24O-25O cause it comes stock with 210 If im correct, but im not a budget but everything i've done to it i've gotten good price on parts i know its a V6 so wasn't plannin on doin Alot to it im done with mods though for it im plannin on gettin a 00-02 6 speed WS6 after taxes so i been settin aside money for a Fast LSX intake with fuel rails, Borla headers with true dual Borla S type mufflers and hopefully have enough also for a Zoom D2 disk set clutch to have put on as soon as i purchase the car and ya i know im lookin at bout 3OOO Bux right there just in parts but its worth it just need to find the car i want for the price im lookin to pay
