exhaust combo suggestions

ok,income tax refund time...i have about $1200 to spend on the t/a's exhaust.i want long tubes,cat-free y-pipe,and probably going to go with a hooker aerochamber muffler(just going to replace the muffler and keep the factory pipe behind the y-pipe) what do you suggest as far as header and y-pipe brand?stainless or coated?and what do i need to install,i don't what to have the car on a lift,taken apart and find out i'm missing something!and what is a reasonable price on a tune to delete the catalyst and maximize power?thanks.

I've heard lots of people say good things about the cheap ebay stainless headers.
any cheaper off road Y will work, just might take alittle tweaking to get a good fit.
I think Frost is still doing mail order tunes for $125 that will work for you.

if you wana do it right go with American Racing headers or Kooks, those run about 1100 with the y-pipe, if you dont wana spend that much the best "cheap brand" out there is pacesetters

Keep the stock i pipe

word on the bump stop put one on when you do your exhaust so your ypipe don't bang especially w/pacesetters

thanks.will be getting a magnaflow muffler,wife doesn't like the sound of the hooker www.ls1sounds.com is a good tool for finding a sound you like.
