SVT Killer
It was an late evening around 2200 and I was coming from an poolhall which use to be my hangout spot. I was driving down Hwy 17 going into Jacsonville NC. But when you get in town the hwy turns into an 3 lane road. So now I'm come to an stop light and I'm in the far right lane. A Ford Lightning pulls up in the middle lane and a 3000gt pulls up in the far left lane. I think the 3000gt driver knew what was about to happen and didnt want no part of it (p***y). So the light turns green I play it cool and just and come out of the light normal but I know its about to go down. I'm in second gear at 40mph at around 35-40rpm. The lightning is right next to me the whole time. No three horns or anything it was just that feeling that we both hit it at the same time. I redline 2nd gear then hit 3rd and then look in the mirror I had 2 cars on him. Redline 3rd and look in the mirror I had at least 5 cars on him so then I let off. But now I'm in 4th gear off the throttle then he passes me like we're still racing so I punch it in 4th but didn't get him. (True Story)

Would have been cool if the 3KGT ran too! Must not have been a turbo? No guts, no glory. The Lightning knew he was owned.

I actually witnessed a 3000gt and WRX street fighting in Jacksonville about 6 months ago. Right after they flew by, 2 cops flew by, after getting the ole' medium reg. we saw them pulled over by the leo.
It was probably the same guy, which would explain why he was hesitant to race.

5 lengths really is subjective. I have no doubt that he beat him, But his idea of 5 lengths (looking in the rearview) is probably a bit off.
Nice kill though-- Lightnings are nice fast trucks
I've raced several Mustangs, which are slower than the Lightnings and I don't recall putting 5 lengths on any of them-- Maybe the 04 Auto GT I raped- was close to that.

Put like this the lead I had after 2nd gear had double and some. It look like 5 to me and plus take in thought that I was allreay in that power zone in my rpm. Thats why I had it in 2nd gear at 40mph so when I hit it I will jump. Trust me no lie here I had a good 4-5 lenghts on this truck.

All I had was SLP LT's, Y-Pipe SLP Lid, Descreen MAF, Free Mod Air Ram,
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch, Flowmaster Catback, Hurst Short Shifter, 3.73 gears, and a good dyno tune. But like I said I was in my power zone, he was driving and auto so that might of play a big factor because he might of not been in his powerband yet.
