Heads really worth the money?
I'm in the works on picking my cam. Thinking of the Torquer 3. Don't wanna go MS4 for fear of being too big. The WS6 is no longer a DD, so it only sees the weekends and the track. I'd like to procharge, but would rather build from bottom up and then it gets expensive. I'm looking at stage 2.5 heads LS6. How much of a power difference will I see doing cam only to heads as well? I'd like to push my car to 450rwhp. I'm probably close to 350 now in good weather conditions. It dynoed 336 in 90 degree heat with 100% humidity.

a cam is pretty much only as god as the set of heads... while you can get decent gains with just the MS3 if you do heads as well you'll pick up far more power...
that cam would be horrible with a procharger though... you'd want something like a 224ish cam...

to quote tony mamo .....a great set of heads will make a subpar cam perform great. a subpar set of heads will make a great cam perform subpar.
something to keep in mind.

Make sure you know what you are gonna do in the future, before you put a cam in that won't work with the Procharger. Same with heads.
Heads can be worth it, they just are a bit pricey.

450rwhp is easily obtainable with heads/cam if the combination is spec'd out correctly.

Follow allbaugh's advice. The procharger setup will require a different camshaft all together, generally wider lobe seperation with an exhaust valve that closes sooner.
If you really want to procharge it, I'd do that first and maybe the camshaft later. Or you might find even the procharger alone on the stock motor might satisfy, and can be made to live fine with moderate boost.
I've seen the small prochargers on otherwise stock LS1's (even stock exhaust manifolds) make close to 450rwhp with a safe tune and driven daily. Could always add a blower friendly camshaft later for a jump in output.
