Most people will vote LS1.
I mean it is an LS1 Board.

LS1 will torque a LT motor. But for the money and comparing it to other stuff on the street a LT1 is cheap to maintain and mod and will run with 98% of the shit on the street.

A 1997 LT1 Z28 came stock with about 285 horsepower, while the 1998 LS1 Z28 put 305 hp through the same drivetrain, which isn't even close to a 60 wheel-horsepower difference. 305 horsepower from any LT1 is easy as pie, with more horsepower to come from intake and programming mods, and even superchargers, turbochargers and nitrous are available in kits for the LT1. And since MSD now makes a high-performance replacement for the Opticrap, if you can find an LT1 car at a good price, I say go for it!

all i know is my ls1 stock, with a muffler,m6 would pull one car length per gear on my friends full bolt on lt1 m6...mabey dude cant drive but his car was quick.....
i am yet to get on my lt1 hard yet, due to a slipping transmission...but it feels stout all stock..im going to buy a strong transmission and good stall converter 1st..and then start boltons after.we shall see if the lt1 can keep me satisfied.......
