Drill mod on '01?

Ok, I am confused. After searching on the forum I come to the conclusion that if you have manual, you should do the drill mod. I also heard that if you have an 01-02 you don't have to do the mod. I have '01 T/A and I am about to change the oil. My questions is should I do the drill mod? Thanks

you do not have to do the drill mod if you have an 01-02 car only 99 and under the newer (01-02) cars have the updated hydraulics

I'm not sure this is accurate but I believe all ls1 fbodies have the restriction and can benefit from the drill mod.

I beleive all the LS1 4th gens have the restriction in the line that needs to be drilled.
As far as updated hydraulics,,,the 01 and 02 cars are supposed to have a different slave cylinder, and that must be all that is sold nowadays because when I checked into it there wasn't a supplier at all that knew there was even a difference

My wifes is a 2000 SS and I did the drill mod on it anyway, even with the newer slave cylinder and LS6 clutch setup because clutch action still wasn't right.
It wasn't until I installed an adjustable master cylinder that the clutch finally started acting like it should.
