Shelby knows my story about my EX and let me tell you, dating someone with a child from a previous relationship take a lot of time, work, and commitment from both adults. my psycho EX has a 3 yr old son, whom if i could ever have a child i would want him to be like her son. however, as our relationship proceeded this woman started having or showing she had major issues that she would take out on not only me but her son. i took her child to heart and i not only helped to potty train her son, wein him off bottles, but i was able to see that boy be a boy, grow and develop. there are things we would do that she would have no part of because 'she wasnt a guy' (ie: she wouldnt even kick a soccer ball w/her son). she had excuse after excuse why she couldnt do things, and it all basically came down to, she didnt want to get dirty and sweaty. WTF!!! this woman would tell me she loved me and wanted to spend her life with me, and tells me she trusts me with her son. then she decides to serve me with papers for child endangerment and other BS because there were times i could not stop, drop whatever it was i was doing to cater to her every need. she got pissed at me once because i couldnt not leave a meeting at work to come over and jump start her car. she could not realize there were things that i cannot control nor could she. she wanted me to stop and change everything in my life for her. change for her, never anything for her son. she was selfish in her own right and could give a rat's ass about her sons interests, his love, his life. compound all of that with lies about everything under the sun and what started out being such a wonderful relationship w/great amounts of potiental was thrown away because of issues she had. i tried so hard for so long but i never had the support, belief and encouragement from her that i needed. she only wanted more, more, more. i learned a lot from her and her son both. i was tested, i questioned, but i stayed as strong as i could through it all. in the end though i know i gave it my all because i gave this woman my heart my everything and she didnt care because she still wanted more.

Wow is this the man bashing thread or what? Women put down guys because they change their mind about being with a woman. Get over it, no offense, Im not an asshole but us guys go through the same thing with women .. just because you have kids involved doesnt change anything .. If the relationship gets old or not what the other person wants .. then theres no ties .. their free to go as they wish.

You cant hold the fact that you have luggage coming into a relationship against a guy .. he can choose to be with you at first but they do have the freedom to change their mind .. their not psychics they cant determine what their going to feel like for the rest of their lives when they first meet you or get into a relationship .. come on now be realistic.. in relationships nothing is guaranteed ever .. People who are married with families .. have lovers .. mistresses.. and hell even some have other families and wives hidden...

Shelby youre adorable .. you seem to have had a child kind of young .. and the dad for whatever reason not stayed.. Im sure youd like to have a boyfriend for you .. let alone have a father for your child .. but most young guys want to play .. but not play house.. thats a huge step to get over a girl having a kid ... and then if it isnt the guys child .. accepting that as well as all of the other hard issues that come along with relationships and making them work..

It's not a male bashing thread, after all I said I found a good man who is a partner and a full time parent to my kids . Yeah and girls can be just as dumb as men when it comes down to relationships. However I totally agree with Shelby on this one, if you can handle the whole package go somewhere else. No mother needs a guy to pretend to be a father figure, it is a passion that a guy must possess in order to be one. I also believe this is true for all you dads out there, don't be with a girl who likes your kids and can deal with them on the weekends, ask yourself this question. If some tragedy left you to have yours kids full time would that girl make it as their mother figure? Would you trust to make the same decisions for your child that you would? Its like Shelby said, it's harder in relationships with children because it's not just emotional for you, a break up is damaging to all parties involved (parent child and the ex).

I think that is the biggest bullshit ever. If you have ever been in a real relationship anyone knows there are two sides to every story. I'm really thrilled to say the least that I have to hear from friends that I am being talked about and bashed in a freaking LS1 website that I found and got for my damn ex-girlfriend. Shelby, I guess you forgot that I was the one that helped you sell your CAMRY you drove when I met you and helped you get the car you drive now. I guess you forgot that I flew to New York and drove it home for you just because I wanted you to have something you always wanted. I guess you forgot that I passed up staying the night in Memphis and I slept in the car so that I could surprise you by getting back to Dallas a whole day earlier than you expected so you could get your new car. What a damn joke. I could go on for ever, or at least for a year and a half worth of that shit!
Seriously. Secondly, I think it is some majorly WEAK ass game to sit on the computer and tell some girl that some guy that you don't even know is this or that. For those of you guys that would like to talk shit try doing it in person or learning a little more about the FULL story before opening your damn mouth.
