that was only a few cars .. And they were regular Muscle Cars not factory specials . Such as Hemi-darts, Sohc 427 Mustangs , COPO Camaros . and a whole bunch I cant think of right off the top of my head ..

I remember back in the early 80's, Hot Rod did an article on the fastest "production" muscle car. No speciality cars were included. The end result was the 70 LS6 SS and the 70 Hemi Cuda both ran 12.2's, with slicks. No Ford was included, especially the heavily de-tuned Boss 429.

The hemi roadrunner was lighter than the hemi cuda? That's news to me
Anyway The 70-71 vert hemi cuda is the height/essence of muscle car suave

Ok I did some checking in old Issues of Muscel Car review ... 70 Hemi-Cuda 3900, 69 Hemi Roadrunner 3950.. And I would take a 67 Vert Vette over the Cuda anyday ...

Man it's amazing that small cuda coupe is heaver than a full size roadrunner, anyway you do know the 70-71 hemi cuda verts are one of if not the most valuable muscle cars. I would rather take the cuda, but to each it's own.

Is that because the cuda is rarer?

Ok without pulling up all sorts of web pages and getting into options . I saw that the Challenger was even more rare with a Hemi. Some real MOPAR guy may know more I only checked one book . May be Cuda sounds cooler than Challenger .. It is like which sounds better 455 or 454.....lol...

Eh its not an option but I would love a Hemi Dart, just because soo many people don't know they ever made one. But it's true technology has taken over the gas dripping tail pipe days..

But it will never be the same, the ground just doesn't shake the same way, and its not a 5,000lb car doing it.

I was at a Dodge show one time .. A guy backed a 62-63 Hemi Dart , I think .. may have been a 413, And you could feel the ground shakeing all the way across the parking lot.

Cuda is better looking end of story. I grew up during that time and that's the way it is.
