I have a 1974 camaro, since it is not one of the most popular years, I am going to be building one expensive restomod. Everything from custom paint by Mike Lavalle at Killer Paint in Seattle to a full protouring suspension. It has been just collecting dust in pieces for the last ten years. After getting my 2001 WS6 firebird m6, 652 built. I've been able to decide on alot of things for the camaro, which will get powered by a procharged stroker ls1, and a six speed. It will be awhile until it is done since freight is so expensive, and I will have to ship it 3,000 miles to get a quality paint job. No ones ever done anything like this yet up here in Alaska. I seen similar things done down in the rest of the world when I make my yearly trip to Seattle.
I am looking for any tips or things I need to know about putting the Ls1 into the second gen camaro? Also who is best to get a complete engine from, and a six speed that can hold up to 1,000 hp, Just to make sure it won't break.
