True, but the Packers have been closing the gap during recent seasons.
Oh, I know and am not contesting that. Until our defense gets their head out of their asses, that will likely continue. We finally have an offense that is capable, very, and the defense turns to complete shit. It will be interesting to see what happens in the off-season. Conte and Wright better get their act together. It's funny to see how so many people blame Cutler for the loss too. Last I checked, he didn't play D and I contribute this particular loss to the defense 100%. You can't expect to win a game allowing 33 points.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

I do not blame Cutler for the lose. He was barely touched that game and Jay is a slightly above average NFL QB when he isn't dealing with defensive players in his face. The Packers pass rushing was horrible as was the receiver coverage on some plays.

He will be back next year from everything I've seen and heard to date. I'm not opposed to someone else filling his role either though. I'm way more concerned with our defense. Allowing 5.4 yards on average per carry for the season? 28+ points for like 9 games or something? That's just ridiculous. We were lucky to of even had a chance at a playoff spot. Honestly, even if we had won we would likely be a one and done so I'm not too upset about the season being over. Looking forward to seeing some big adjustments. We have too much offensive talent on board to let it go to waste.

You do have those giant receivers. Those guys should be setting records.

Yes, sir. I know that. And, I would not say huge football buff. I would say huge Packers fan.

What we could do with Marshall. What you guys need to do is cut Peppers. He is soaking up a lot of cash and losing his effectiveness every year. You could get three really good lineman in there for his money.

I agree about the D completely but Philly and GB's d this are anything but top ranked so I'm still thinking its time for a change there. I still think they should've let McCown finish the season starting.

Still says a lot about a coaching team when they honor their commitments. Those are the guys others will want to play for.

Guys lose starting positions all the time due to performance i don't see it as commitment honoring as much as they didn't make the right decision. Just because you get named starter in preseason shouldn't gaurantee it's your's all season if you aren't performing and the back up is doing better

I agree completly. But, I heard that Cutler was told he would have the starting position back when he was able to play again.

Yeah, for whatever reason, his team is behind him 100% no matter what flaws he brings to the table. I guess in a way that is a good thing. Every interview throughout the year I watched, the consensus was that they all thought McCown was a great back-up, but that is all he is, a back-up. Their QB is Jay. Even McCown said in his own interview that he would be happy to come back next year as the back-up again. Personally, I would want better for myself, but it's not like it's an easy task getting the starting position in the NFL.

Jay Cutler is the NFL's version of the "too big to fail" concept that is so prevalent in government projects nowadays.

Cutler is 30 and hasn't had a healthy season last few years and McCown is 34 I think its time to start looking for newqbs. Probably why McCown is fine with staying a back up
83 Thunderturd even bigger turd probably LQ4 4L80 swap at some point

When I was at the GF's house tonight, I saw her sister's son (~11 months old). His grandmother got him a one-piece pajama with Chicago Bears all over it (they're from Chicago). It was about 9pm or so and the baby got the ways babies get when it's close to bed time: whiney, fussy, don't want their bottle, etc. I may or may not have made a comment about people mistaking him for Jay Cutler.
