not about the LCA brackets...lol i think my stock shocks will be fine. if not, what do you think would make them break?

I don't recommend stock shocks with lowering springs. The compression and rebound travel are engineered for the stock springs rates. You can still do it but your ride will not be optimum. It would be like riding a bicycle with the seat set to the bottom position, your legs cannot fully extend.

ED, quick question: i want to lower my car and still use the stock shocks. if i do lower my car, do i need LCA relocation brackets? thinking of a 1.25-1.5" drop all around. eventually ai will go with boxed LCA's/SFC...

You should also change the shocks. The new spring rates will kill the stock shocks fast. Plus you don't want to do the fronts twice.

You should get relocation brackets to bring your LCA back in line.

what is a good price-friendly brand to go w/then?

also, what's the difference between linear and progressive spring rates? if this is a DD car, and minor track time, what would be the best set up, in your opinion??
