a timer! Oh trust me, my father will spend more time asking; me what it is I am doing? what's wrong with it? if nothings wrong with it, why are you replacing a perfectly good part? What's a LCA? Woodworking he knows, cars are used to drive. He'll lease a car and drive it the duration of the lease with out changing the oil in it once! Should be some good bonding time and a good opportunity to take a few pictures with him!

@ 16 i was changing the fuel (stone) filter out of my Rochester quadra-junk and cross threaded the threads-gas was squirtin all over the place and no amount of teflon tape would work! My old man was pissed off (since he usually helped or paid for any probs with my car) He said ''Why the hell were you messin with that anyway''?,,I said i was just doing ''preventative maintanence''? and he said....If it aint broke dont fix it!!

@ 16 i was changing the fuel (stone) filter out of my Rochester quadra-junk and cross threaded the threads-gas was squirtin all over the place and no amount of teflon tape would work! He pretty much just sat at the work bench watching tv and read a book while I was on the ground wrenching to replace the LCA's and PHB... Just kept pondering why I would be replacing these parts...

Lol I need to get my dad back into racecars. He use to build them, then decided that if it aint broke, dont fix it and stuck to that haha.

Oh well, was worth spending a few hours in my garage with him. Don't get to see him too often. Took him out for a ride after it was all buttoned up. I'm pretty sure there was a brown spot on the seat when we were done.

Have to remember, this is the same man who doesn't do an oil change unless the "low oil" light comes on. Preventative maintenance to him is trading his lease in before the lights come on.

Funny thing about it was that there was NOTHING wrong with it! Thats why he was perplexed He was like: ''why are you checking it? was it idling rough ?was it bogging out? any problem with it?'' Me: ''no"...

Thats true. I like spending time with mine in the garage when I can, I dont see him as much as I'd like to either. Hahaha awesome! Hope your brown spot came out lol.
