05-31-2006, 10:43 AM #14290well had to replce the water pump becuase i thought it was leaking. got it taken off and turned out it wasnt the water pump. had to pull off the timing cover to find out it was a shitty gasket. got the timing cover, water pump, and power steering pump back on only to realize that the oil pan gasket wasnt sitting quite right so had to do it all over again. took a majoirty of sunday and half of monday to fix it. and it cost about $120 for everything

think its time to get rid of the 6, even though ive basically replaced everyting on the car
transmission, crank bearings, pushrods, lifter, water pump, EGR, cat converter, fuel pump, numerous sensors and gaskets, and the motor was "rebuilt" before i bought the car

it wasnt hard or anything, just a big time consumer and pita, considering i had to learn it all on the spot

if it's all new, you should get a good return on it then as it should hold it's value. I don't know much else about the car, but list it for 6k or even 8 and see what you can get. Hell, that'd be a cool gift for a recent grad.
