This thread reminds me of my friend that got rear-ended on his motorcycle at a stop sign. He was so mad he got out and jumped up and down on the woman's car hood until it was actually bent around the engine. He did have to buy her a new hood, I was surprised that he didn't end up in jail over it. The story didn't end there. Her insurance wanted to total the bike and give him less that it was worth so he went to the agent's office and got in his face big time. End result, they paid for the repair. Sometimes it pays to be an asshole, I guess.

-Boot is 3 months

-Again, no fucking way an officer would work out with a recruit unless it's for company PT...nice try though mr. squad leader

ok, so what exactly is the difference between a 200, 500, 2k, 10k, and 20k dollar bike?
im in college and i have some friends that have some expensive bikes (2k) seems like a complete waste to me since I can get all the same places on the mountain bike I take to class and back every day.

Do all United States Marine Corps marines, past and present a favor and STFU. Desert Shield/Desert Storm vet and you DO NOT speak for the USMC. That is a army rank. In the MARINES you have a Sergeant (Sgt) and a Staff Sergeant (SSgt). FYI E-7 in the USMC is a Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt). E-7 in the Army is a Sergeant First Class.

well see, you have first the main differences are weight... aka what materials are use, quality of materials... interchangeable parts... and the technology going into the expensive bikes allow you to ride longer/faster... just like cars... but its a lot harder to understand the diff in the bikes... itsveryyyyy hard to believe... but you do get what you pay for... you will never be able to ride a marathon on a huffy... but a pinarello is very easy to accomplish that task(assuming your body is capable) i peronally am not into it that much but a 700 dollar bike will do me just fine after that price... you have to spend a lot more to make less of a diff.
