I just know the couple that I raced were close at the start but fell back quickly. I looked on a couple of sites and they all were about 13.5 for stock lightning. That's better than what I thought they were stock. I even found some modded ones running 9's in the 1/4! Now I know why it's my favorite sport truck. To bad the SRT-10 is faster stock. They were like 13.3. Not much difference for over 100HP more!!!

Maybe not those cars are light one with 300 hp would be running in the 12's easy.

this debate is similar to a modded f body vs. terminator debate.
if the pulley on the lightning is changed, then some f bodies MAY become embarassed (if they are lightly modded).

My friend had a civic hatch back yes i know the most ricer car ever anyway, it dynoed in at 300+fwhp and like 240fwtrq and he ran a 12.4 at the track his interior was stripped and it was a v-tec turbo but it doesnt take that much for a 2200 pound car to run 12's.

That's why I like the Lightnings over the SRT-10 trucks. Just swap a pulley and they are history.

What my brother didn't tell you about that 03 cobra was he had 500rwhp(not sure about the tq) and I have 400rwhp and 465ft/tq and from 70 to about 115-120 mph we was side by side than after I shifted to 5th it was over the cobra walked me bad. But I guess I still lost but I gave a car with 100 more hp than me a good run for his money.

oh yeah! plus a lightning is lighter. they feel sportier and dodge is retarted. whos gonna buy a 70,000 truck that isnt a Banks prototype diesel making in the neighborhood of 2000 lbs/ft. you dont buy these trucks to work them. you buy em to cook rice.....but not filet cat fish. sorry.....
oh great intentions, ive got the best of interventions...

Wow you are truely ignorant like your friend 2000T/A GURU. You've obviously never tried to place 500+ RWTQ to the ground on a street tire, but hey I understand you drive a LSx car.
I wish you guys were local, so I could show you exactly what a Lightning is capable of. They handle great, accellerate even better, and brake just fine.
Also, there was a question before about the 8.6 time I posted, that wasn't a typo that was an 1/8th mile quote. That was also when my truck was bone stock. I haven't been back to the track since the pully swap and tune.
Yes, 2000T/A Guru, the TA can be made a lot faster, but your talking the difference of 2000lbs here. I would hope with the same HP and TQ numbers that the TA would be a faster car. If not then something is definantly wrong.
LOL, my brother's car is pretty quick now since the turbo, but if I had a convertor and DR's I'd still out 60' his ass. I'm still making more power then him with a 5.4S/C with a 6# pully swap. But yes he has me beat due to weight.
