I'm not sure if you guys already know this, but over at EvolutionM.net the guys who actually entered the comp. as team Evo are on the site. Along with Lexus, Dart, and a few others. So with that..

Basically the reasoning for Team Evo looking like @sses is because later in the show, the Evo gets totaled in a Challenge, and the team is taking legal matters. Basically what happened is Team Evo keep getting thrown into the eliminations and in this particular event you get chased by a cop car through a series of tasks, and the "finish line" is a metal fence you have to break through to stop the time. So from what I understand (details are limited due to the Evo owners, having lawyer involvement and such) basically right after you crash through the time stops, and Team Evo was the first to go. Well, when the Evo went through the fence to stop the clock right after the fence there's a very small incline with a small decline behind it. Well right on the other side of the the small incline was a set of boulders that couldn't be seen, and the Evo smashed into the boulders, totaling the car. Now through out the entire show the editors are making them look to be jack-offs because Bull Run still has their car totaled car, and they are suing the show for damages.
Most of the details are at the Evo.M site, but a couple of the threads that have been started have been locked due to inappropriate comments made by ignorant people who flex there internet muscle. Just as you guys said above about how it looked like Team Evo was going home, the producers are taking the footage they want and making Evo look like the douches.

well if there is enough footage to make them look like a pair of D-bags, chances are...... they are Dbags.

I don't mind the driver of team evo as much, but the navigator is the biggest fuckin tool i have ever seen on any tv show.

I hope they lose their court case because they obviously knew there was a risk involved when they entered and they undoubtedly signed some sort of waiver relinquishing(sp?) speed tv or the producers of the show from any liability for damages. They could have chose not to participate in the challenge and walk away with the car intact.

Well Zapper if I remember correctly the F150 had the choice of either smashing through the barrier to stop the time, or try to come to a complete stop after running through the banner. That was actually their choice to run it through the barrier in that instance.

I think that episode is on Thursday...they have been advertising the cop chase challange all week. Team EVO are still TOOLS either way...If they weren't such @sses they wouldn't have been thrown into as many challenges as they were...

+1 i know multiple evo/sti owners and they are the same way as the navi. you can say the producers are making them look like it, but they're still acting that way in the end. im surprised the drivers not worse, but you look at most evo drivers they think nothin can stop them, they can get anything they want, and they can own anythhing on the road. i think its totally their fault. the challenge shouldve been called the evo/ego killer

never saw the show, but true that. team evo were douch bags from the beginning. they deserve what came their way, although it hurts to see any car bite it. as much as i hate tuner mentality im still a car guy and id hate to be in their shoes
