The pop is probably an exhaust leak. Let it cool down, crank it up and crawl under it and listen at the slip joints in the exhaust. Be careful, it is possible to over-tighten the clamps if it just uses those u-bolt exhaust clamps and that can cause a leak.

Well i mean could be i wouldnt know..something else that happens is when it pops if i ease on the break it will jolt foward on me but i dont know
