Yea, I don't know what it is guys, I'm not moving it another inch until I get it serviced though, no further damage is needed, I'll let you guys in on what was going on with it later on this week after I get it serviced.

Thanks goat, Zapper, and wheelie, I appreciate your input. You guys definently helped me out. Again, I appreciate it.

Ouch, old school vehicles ftw. No tomfoolery like interior cooling lines. Heater core (way up in dere) on our old '03 ram blew, they wanted some ridiculous amount (1k maybe) at the dodge shop, so we just bypassed it and cut diamonds in the winter to keep the windows de-fogged. Thing about it being under the dash is it blew out onto the passenger floor and smelled after that. Good thing my sister was close to home cuz the biotch kept on driving!

Just check the coolant levels and watch it running in the drive way. Do some recon and don't let some shop sell you a flux capacitor and blinker fluid cuz you didn't see what was wrong before you took it in

I know the coolant was half full a short while ago, like 2 weeks ago, but I topped all of it off immediatley after I figured out it's status. But yea man, tommorow morning I'll definently crank it up and watch it run in the driveway.

You meanthe overflow (plastic bottle) was half full or did you check under the actual radiator cap? The overflow tank is supposed to be about half full

Just got back from a cruise ariound Carlisle in the Monte. She lights the tires nicely and will catch rubber in second. No issues as of yet. Picked up some oil (just in case) and a set of wipers as they are calling for rain tomorrow.

If you really ran around with the rad itself half full you might have fucked the motor. Maybe warped heads or a blown head gasket

Doesn mean you have to have a combustion leak. Running that low on water is bad shit bro

Q-jet... not sure about "H.O." It only has one air snorkel, not two like the H.O. engines I am familiar with.

Long day. I am shutting down for the night.

Really? I thought it only increased your chances of overheating when you run low on water, didn't know it destroys parts in the motor, man, i'm glad I caught it. Thanks for the info my man.
