Oil test this makes it easy to choose

Hey Sarge, for the last couple years I was using the German Castrol. I remember a long time ago people where getting great UOA results with it. However I also remember it being light green in color. Well my previous oil change 6 months ago I switched to Pennzoil Platinum, but noticed after about 200 miles or so I had developed valve seal leaks. I had never burned oil prior to using PP. So just yesterday I switched back to the Castrol. I however have a feeling you are going to tell me the Castrol is now shit. What is your current take on it? Also I am wondering about Amsoil 0W-30, have you seen any results on it?

How did you come to the conclusion you have valve seal leaks? Just curious.

Castrol is great oil....just doesnt have the add packs ( cleaning agents) you find in PP. PP is cleaning the shit out of that more=leaks that were clogged with sludge before...replace the valve seals if they are leaking..........but Castrol is good oil....no doubt....Amsoil is top shelf....are you talking about the Signature Series 0-30?

Blue smoke at Startup. It was my initial thought and also the cheapest.
