funny on a car i love so much. i know most little about im realizing. and i didnt say that movie killed the f-bodies. i was trying to state that the tuner era didnt help it any. i didnt say killed it.

I'm with you on that one all the way. It's true, if you don't want people saying "mean" or "nasty" things to you then dont go saying stupid things that you obviously haven't a clue about.

uh duh fast and furious. hmmmmm now lets figure out how many of our friends we know knew, who had eclipses, integras, supras, blah blah blah, tuner this and that. tuners have been hot since then except up until '05. they began to die out. and what better way of a fade to dissappear than! well you name it, the risk taking ford company on their new "Mustang." and they have been running good since. now, dodge, gm, and other like companys wanna try to get involved. guess what. to late. ford has already started redesigning their beloved mustang yet again. and all the other companys are still playing catch up. so instead of being the late bloomer, hmmm lets think of a way to stay ahead of the game. i know! taking fucking risks. hmmm find peeps who are inventive, and look towards the future instead of the present. gm is already showing very good signs of failing and falling apart at an outstanding rate. so what better way than to try and go out with a bang. hit all areas of a car market at one time. find your strengths and weaknesses all at one time. hit the retro, wich is the present,and past. fuel saving, wich is the present, and future. hit technological advances, which is definitely future. i figure you just mise well get every area like i said a sec ago. mise well go out with a bang, letting your customers know you are and have tried every area. like every one has said T/A had its good run of 35 years. and camaro on the same level. so maybe its time to begin and look towards new muscle names. see which customers like what and go with the new era. i figure they should pull through with the banshee.

just do me a favor and read this and tell me you were not trying to say that the movie and the following killed f-bodys cuz thats what it looks like you were saying..........not that it helped kill but it did kill thats the point you were trying to make. the "think of the real reason" part is pretty much all you need to read. not trying to be an ass just trying to make a point.

i agree and disagree. alot of my friends had the tuner cars. so immediateley i would think that would be why. eevry once in awhile id see a trans am. my first car was and still is my 89' formula. i didnt see much of any birds period. lol except when people use to drive by my buddies house, we had an 88' firebird "red," and 89' formula "red" and my 89' formula also red but two toned. anyways. the point im trying to make is that all the kids i went to school with either had mommy and daddys new lexus they just bought for em or some fuckin kids "alot" had tuners. lol we eevn had a 17 yr old kid who was drivin a convertible viper. and of course there was me. lol my loud ass exhaust and dented passenger front fender ha. and a lil rust ha. i love that fuckin car. my car stood out all right, just not quite the way i wanted it to. i didnt have alot of money to fix it up. i dont know i just saw alot of guys who were into the whole fast and furious, throw a fart can and some neons on there tuners and thought they were the shit. so sorry, it was more of my opinion than facts.

it's cool man, I'm sorry for sounding like an ass I just hate for imports to get the credit for killing the cars I love aswell. I understand where you are comming from and can see how you came to that opnion. I might have went a little far with this...my bad. I just get that way when some thing gets under my skin. I hate ricers!!! but thats not to say I hate imports, a good friend of mine put it best, a ricer is a car that is all show and no go and an import is some thing totally different like an nsx and sti or an evo 8 those are imports and ok in my book although I still love my f-bodies more than anything.

i am willing to bet anything, there will be another bird. even if we both are dead by then. maybe by that time it will be in gm's hovercar lineup in the early 3000's. maybe even the 3002 t/a. lol

Hey nice t/a. Ya im paying on some bills until june and im gonna focus on my 89' formula. Prolly just gonna restore it. i dont wanna really change the ride of that car. and anyways my T/A has got the power i want so. ill be fine with my formulas performance in the end.

Hell ya man I love learning about these cars and most of all these engines. Here where I live now is like a f-body frenzy, lot of stangs aswell but that just gives me some thing to whop on. Good luck with your research post any cool facts you find.

hey did they tear down the plant where they made the trans ams in canada? or did they just shut it down?
