That's the sweet thing about the manual with the extra gears. You can have it both ways. It's loud when I want it loud and it's quiet when I want it that way.

this was bound for an a4 vs. m6 war from the start

Drive a nicely stalled a4 first (you eventually get a stall anyways), if you like that..good if not go with a m6
