I wish Sarge was here right now so he could ban some people Y2K and 5.0this took the "fast track to Sarge" training class......it's supposed to make you a younger version of Sarge. I'd be careful around those 2......you get them fired up and you're as good as gone.

Sarge was a good dude....he was opinionated and laid the hammer if you pissed him off. Nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day though he was a good dude and knew his shit about cars. Me and Sarge tangled a few times but that's gonna happen.....I don't get the sandy vagina about it. I haven't been a mod in a long time......it's also the internet so do you solely judge someone by what they do on here? If that's the case then there are some really fucked up people on this site and I'm pretty sure it's illegal for Spaz to even enter 34 states. Not everyone liked Sarge....I get it....but that doesn't mean that he's not a good dude. I have seen him do some very unselfish things for people he didn't even know. He also offered to help anyone that needed it. He was good for our hobby and he was good for our site. Period. Anyone that can't see that is being blinded by the little things.

I'm over the grudge. I came back didn't I? I haven't made any fuss about it since I came back, right? But am I not allowed to have my own opinions of him when the topic is raised? Others have shared their 'sarge was great' memories, I have countered with my 'no he wasn't' memories. And my grudge wasn't really with him per se, it was with hypocritical mods who cheered him for saying something and then punished someone else for saying something almost identical back to him.

Well, what else should I judge him by? All of my interactions with Sarge were HERE, all of my observations of him were made HERE. It's all I and probably many others have to go by. I'll grant that you may know more about him from areas beyond here or before my time. So fine, I'll give that you're not merely blindly worshipping him. You have your opinion of him based on your interactions with him. But you also need to understand that not knowing him in these other ways isn't the same as being blinded by little things. I've formed MY opinion based on MY interactions with him and from the facts available to ME at the time.

Ok so fine, the consensus appears to be that 'talking about the good things about sarge is ok, talking about the bad things about sarge needs to be gotten over with.' So ok, I'm over it, won't hear another word. Happy times.

Not really, he isn't here for a reason and the reason has nothing to do Schmalgar. Therefore he should'nt have to hold his tongue simply because the guy isn't here. It hasn't stopped some of us on this thread from talking about camaro during his vacation.

I do agree though everyone should just move on from the Sarge thing, I have had a few little issues with a mod or two on here doing what I though was abusing power but it is no big issue. Give a random collection of people power over there peers and abuse happens from time to time.
