note that going w/ that 1.25" adapter will clear better on the inside, including bump-stops... but gets very close to the outside fender... you'll want to consider rolling the lip

Hey guys I know this is an old thread but I have a very important question; How much can I lower my Camaro if I have 315's in the back and any recommendations on springs.

    Thanks

I have a friend who has 315's on stock 10 spoke SS wheels (9in wide) and there is no appearance of any bulging at all. Looks great and no problems in the past three years since he had them. Wear is even all around.

Anyone running 19 x 10s on the rear with 315s? I am in the process of doing the C6 Z06 front brake swap and swapping out tires and rims to the Z06 spider wheels and Goodyear F1 D3s. Still debating between 18s all around or 18s front and 19s rear. Thanks for any help.

wow, im glad this thread got restarted. i was curious how the set up i want to run will work. also, is it common to need to roll the fenders? because that is something that i dont want to mess with. how many guys out there actually needed to roll their fenders? input/pics/advise about it?

but the set up i want to run is, 18x10.5 c5 deep dish rims, with 315/30/18 BFG drag radials (which ive heard are wide). now i dont mind hamming a little on the inner fenders, but like i said, im not gonna mess with the fenders. also, my car is lowered on the eibach pro kit, so its not slammed, but def lower than stock. anyone have any experience with this? from what ive read, this shouldnt be an issue

Following Blackwiddow99' instructions saved me a BUNCH of time only too about 30 minutes and everything is mounted with no rubbing.

    Great instructions.

Thanks for reincarnating this thread. This is a nice write up.

The part that caught my attention was the longer studs required to run this setup. I'f i'm running stock 275 tires will i still need the longer studs? I feel the aluminum wheel spacers I bought allow enough threads. I tried to go with a 1" spacer initially, the stock studs (I think they're stock) wouldn't allow me to fit the wheels back on. I then bought the 1.5" spacers and I think they look ok. This thread had me wondering a little though. I'm not taking my car to the track or going to be thrashing it too hard otherwise. So will this be safe?

They're not nearly as wide as the 315's obviously but I still think the car looks better.

    Opinions?

I guess you would call them wheel adapters. You bolt them on with lugs then use another set of lugs to bolt the wheels on. The bolt patterns are the same and I am running the stock 10-spoke SS wheels.

lets just say most tire shops do not mess with cars that have spacers/adapters on... they also will wear out bearings much faster...

using a wheel with the correct width and offset is best...

Here are mine on 17x10.5 wheels with offset of 44mm... bump stops were ground back like in first post and a little of the BFH mod not much tho!

Hey guys. I have a 2001 10th Anniversary Firehawk with SLP Bilsteins. I read and searched and really my brain is smoking!!! I want to stay with 17" rims. I'd love to go 315 out back. I'm trying to bring this car back from the dead (bad bad accident). I know about the fender rolling and the bump stop grind. Can anybody help me with these rims and what back space I should order for the rears 315s?
